LA-based design house, Scout Regalia, releases their vision for an American bicycle that mixes performance with style and design with craftsmanship.
Designed in Los Angeles, the Scout Regalia Bicycle - which features a frame manufactured by David Wilson in Pennsylvania, and accessories including saddlebags by Winter Session, a wool blanket and accessory straps from Topo Design, and a handwoven black ash by Swamp Road Baskets - is an "Ode to America."
Taking its cues from three distinct bicycle typologies - the English/Dutch town bike, a cycle truck, and a mountain bike - the bicycle features a steel frame that's been designed as a unisex "mixte" style. Components include a nine speed internally geared rear hub, a front dyno hub with light, disc brakes, double leg kickstand, Brooks saddle, and 29" tires with fenders. The rear rack is integrated into the frame and is strong enough to carry someone on the back. The two tone powder coated finish emphasizes the front end of this American made, American inspired bicycle.
